OUR STORY
“Our story is one that highlights the faithfulness of God in the face of incredible difficulties. Growing up in christian homes as the children of Haitian immigrants Deborha and I met in church in 2010. I grew up in Jersey, while Deborha is west Philadelphia born and raised (pun intended). We got together in 2013 and got engaged in 2017. I was a bi-vocational pastor at the time while Deborha was starting a business, and honestly life was pretty comfortable. While praying in early 2018 about direction for our upcoming marriage, we felt like the Lord was calling us to leave everything behind and move to Florida to join Him at work there. It felt crazy at first, but over time we were sure that He had called us, and that ultimately we’d be planting churches in Florida. We got married in December 2018 and ended up moving to Florida in the beginning of 2020, sight unseen and with no jobs. We were fully trusting the Lord. Little did we know we’d be going on the greatest adventure of our lifetime.”

We came to Florida anxious, but excited about what God might do. Then…the pandemic hit. Soon after Deborha’s father passed away. The next few years were filled with incredible loss and pain and by mid-2022 we were feeling like we were drifting as church planting and what God had called us to Florida for felt like an impossibility. That fall though, God changed everything. On an out of country ministry trip, I met Pastor Cliff McCray, who encouraged me on the path toward church planting and would go on to become our sending pastor. We’re now getting ready to plant Glory City Church in the fall of 2025, and we are looking forward to what God will do!
